Capes are not that hard. Just a practice bead. The mask bead with a squid on it is up in the Etsy. I cooked it again. I think it turned out pretty good.

So, the obivous questions: what do you call it? Count Otcula? And since no self-respecting squid would turn into a vertebrate, does it turn into a batfish? (The Ogcocephalidae ones, that is.)

Batfish! That’s good. So many possibilities once you accept the vampire thing. By the way, the cape thing is one handy something. If you screw up the tentacles you can just cover them up. I think that’s why people wear capes too.

I haven’t even thought about names. I will have to soon as my beads are becoming less hideous. The Count idea sounds good. For now they’re just Vampire Squid doing this or that (opening a jar, counting his blessings, that sort of thing.) Thanks for the obscure-to-me squid info!
